The opening of this new park in 2022 allows for safe, off-road parking, bathrooms and a picnic area for those who would like to access the Cowlitz River.  Take a short trail by the river, and note the educational signage at the park describing local area flora and fauna.

There is no boat launch at the park, but the river is accessible to hand-carried boats such as canoes and kayaks.

To access the park, from Skate Creek Road, take Alpine Drive one block to Alta Drive.
